The incident that occured last evening has infuriated residents some of whom were baying for the blood of the two suspects.

The two allegedly buried their 95 year old mother after she was brought to their home after falling ill.

A witness, Mary Wanjiku said she took her 95 year old sister Esther Wanjiru Karani to her son after she fell sick

Wanjiku said that she went to her nephew’s home the following day to check on her sister but she did not find her there.

Upon asking her nephew where her sister was, the nephew told her that she was admitted at the Kerugoya District Hospital saying that doctors did not want visitors to check on her.

But her suspicion rose and she reported the matter to area chief.
