This was after the team was awarded three points and two goals from their abandoned tie against Sony Sugar seven weeks ago
The Football Kenya Federation appeals committee awarded Gor Mahia the points raising their points tally to 56, a mark no other team can achieve.
Gor’s beat its closest challenger Sofapaka FC 1-0 on Wednesday evening at the Kasarani Stadium.
Gor needed one point from the remaining four matches to be declared champions.
The match between Sony Sugar and Gor Mahia in Awendo was abandoned in the 84th minute when Sony Sugar bitterly protested Gor Mahia's second equalizer to tie the game at 2-2.
The Kenyan Premier League ordered a replay of that match, but Gor Mahia appealed to the Football Kenya Federation saying Sony Sugar caused the stoppage of the match.
KPL had earlier insisted on a replay of the match but Gor wanted to be awarded the match.
Both parties agreed to take the matter to the appeals committee of FKF and promised to abide by its ruling.
Gor Mahia are winning the title for the first time in 18 years.
