Newsmakers: Maddo Featured

Stirring public debate is what Paul Kelemba, famously known as ‘Maddo’ does best, and has been doing since 1986 when he first joined the nation newspapers. He has been using caricatures to depict political dissatisfaction and question leadership qualities and accountability, even way back when doing so could bring the cartoonist in question personal grief. On newsmakers tonight, we explore the power of the pen and how one man has used it to sketch the country’s path to democracy. Here’s Evelyn Wambui with tonight’s newsmaker, ‘Maddo’.
